Problem:
The company's parking spaces can be booked by employees annually on a first-come-first-serve basis. Because there are not as many parking spaces as there are employees, several parking spaces are unused on days where their owners work remote or are on vacation. Zurich's employees need parking opportunities and the company is interested in using their parking spaces more efficiently.

Context of use:
The study's scope is Zurich's office in the city of Bonn. The parking garage is underground, and security guards the entrance to only let in employees.
Employees own an ID-card with their name and an image on it. Furthermore, they possess company laptops and a company phone which is the iPhone SE.

Solution:
The human centred design of an iPhone App that employees of Zurich Insurance located in Bonn use to share the company's parking spaces with one another.

Project Summary
I developed the Parksharing App as a UX Designer at Zurich Insurance Germany. The project included qualitative research, requirements engineering, conceptual modeling, prototyping and a heuristic evaluation.
Methodology
The human centered design process from the ISO 9241-210 was used as a methodological framework.

Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 4 employees to identify user needs when parking at the workplace. The interview quesitons were adapted from the usability guideline by the German Akkreditaion Body (DAkkS)More about DAkkS usability (german)
Furthermore, users filled in the Kano Questionnaire for feature prioritisation to rank features identified from the competitor analysis. The research's results were used to formulate requirements in the form of user stories and essential use cases.

The wireframes and the high-fidelity prototype were designed using Axure RP. The prototype was evaluated and iterated with Nielsen's 10 usability heuristics.
